Oleksandr Pushniak has his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Pedagogy and Music Teacher from the Ushynsky Pedagogical College in Kyiv and in 2007 he graduated from vocal facility at the National Music Academy of Ukraine with a specialty in “Musical Art” and the qualification of opera and concert singer.

In 2007 he was a semi-finalist at Placido Domingo’s ‘Operalia’ competition held in Paris, France and became a prize-winner of the ‘European song contest’ within the Styriarte music festival in Austria. Oleksandr Pushniak has performed at various concert halls in the Ukraine and US. In 2008-2010 he joined the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program in Washington DC. During this period with Washington National Opera in Young Artist cast he has performed roles of Falstaff (Verdi), Il conte di Almaviva Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart) as well as many smaller parts in the main cast and many other concert performances. In July 2010 Oleksandr Pushniak performed role of Simone in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, conducted by maestro Lorin Maazel during Castleton Festival in USA.
